A guy who goes to the gym with my husband recommended this place to us as he knows we really enjoyed Scandinavian food when we visited Finland last year. This place did not disappoint. The coffee was delicious, the service was great (staff very friendly and happy) and we both enjoyed the food so much we cant wait to go… More

Return trip to Sweden after 3 years!

Hello everyone.

I am truly sorry for not keeping you up to date here on the blog, I promise I will get better at it!

We have been very busy… the last 3 years…

It’s often said that the first year is a real test of survival for a new business. but those who work in small business say it’s actually the first three years that show whether they will survive and the owner has what it takes.

Some small-business advisers even argue that the venture is still in a start-up phase for the first three years, which I can totally agree on!

It has been a learning curve, from perfecting recipes to filling in tax returns, paying bills, remembering coffee orders and names.

We opened our doors on the 2nd of December 2013. It is first now we feel that we can take a small step back, and look at our cafe running smoothly without daily stress on our faces.

It has taken 2.5 years before our first real holiday. We just returned from a holiday to Sweden for my brothers wedding. We are stoked that we could go, BIG thanks to our awesome team Marianne, Hennina, Kajsa och Elin.  You Made it happened!

We are now back with more inspiration and I have promised myself to get better on the online part!

Please keep an eye on this page. We will launch a new catering menu, and a better insight into our cafe…. The more comments I get the more I will write on this blog 😉

A massive thanks to everyone that comes through our doors daily. Who would have known, that an Electrician and a Sommelier could make this wonderful meeting place that is Scandic Cafe.

Thank you,

Sanna Kidd
